1. Educational Qualification


• Master’s degree in the concerned subject with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD).

• UGC NET / CSIR NET qualified in the relevant subject.

• State-level SET/SLET certificates from other states are not valid in UPPSC recruitment.

• Candidates with a PhD as per UGC norms may also be eligible for exemption from NET.

• Maximum: 40 years (as of 1st July 2025)
